From the moment I arrived, this place felt like a break. The grounds were impressively situated—height matters if you respect it. The rooms were clean and themed around different plants, each with a brochure detailing mythological and healing stories. I actually booked a short stay in the herb shack, and reading the brochure right after arrival made me feel right at home. The location offers plenty for nature lovers and invites you to dream. Herb and alpaca walks were offered, and the trails in the Kirnitzschtal were picturesque but a bit challenging for those not used to altitude. In the evening I sat outside and ordered a generous two‑course meal that was fresh and beautifully presented. Breakfast had a great selection with plenty of extras, and the recurring theme of plants and herbs was evident—lavender soap, homemade herbal lemonade, elderberry jam, and a salad side chosen by the chef, which I really enjoyed. The only drawback was that the bathroom was a bit cramped and a few small things could be improved, but that wasn’t a high priority for a single night.
