“Great Ambience”
Beautiful property. Rooms are spacious and have a good vibe. The shower is weird. It’s a deep tub that’s hard to step out of and the shower head is on the wall with no shower walls or curtain so we end up spraying water everywhere. The hot water would periodically throw a shot of cold water and that was unpleasant
“Very nice hotel with a good restaurant”
The hotel is gorgeous, with beautiful public areas and a great vibe, and everything is spotless; the restaurant is nice too. The downside is that the bedroom lighting is so dim that I can’t read or even see into my suitcase after dark, and the rain‑shower heads flood half the bathroom every time I shower. Breakfast was mediocre—some items ran out, the baked goods were bland, and the sliced bread was dry and stale.
“Wunderbares Hotel nah am Geysir”
We returned for a second stay at this very comfortable hotel just a five‑minute walk from the geyser, allowing us to see the natural wonder at different times of day, and it’s only a ten‑minute drive to Gullfoss. The staff were friendly and the room was comfortably furnished; breakfast offered a large, tasty selection that left nothing wanting, and the parking is reserved for guests only. The only drawback was the lack of toothbrush cups in the bathroom, something you’d expect at these price levels, and the room rate felt quite high for us, perhaps due to the upcoming solar eclipse, but otherwise there was nothing to complain about.
I love this place and I’ll definitely return!
It’s truly a design masterpiece, and the breakfast was excellent and everything was very clean. I really enjoyed the hotel.
