The hotel is great, but the Dyson fan does little against the heat, though it's okay.

Everything was spotless, the bed was amazing, and the junior suite had a huge soaking tub! The staff were all super sweet and even gave me a birthday present! Breakfast was fantastic, the location is perfect! Highly recommend! The only downside was the street construction, which the hotel can’t control.

The location is nice in a pleasant area of Basel, and if you cross the bridge just around the corner you’re right in the city centre. The staff are fun, helpful, and friendly. The room is generous and well‑furnished: not just a good place to sleep but also a pleasant space to be. The main thing: I’m happy with this hotel. If I ever go back to Basel I’d book a room here without hesitation. There were no shortcomings I couldn’t accept given how attractive the hotel is. The room fan suggests that on very hot days some guests might miss an AC, but at 25 °C outside I had no trouble (and the blinds are excellent). The charm comes with an old parquet floor that creaks loudly with every step, a sink that’s a bit low, and storage that could be a touch more handy. But who cares if it makes you happy?

The reception was flawless, the room was cosy and comfortable, and the bedding was very comfy—everything was perfect. Breakfast was hearty, service impeccable. Thanks a lot. The downside is the bar below the hotel.
