“Sammal”
Paikan tunnelma oli ensiluokkainen, palvelu tasokasta ja tunsin olevani täydellisen tyytyväinen
The owner and all staff were friendly, the food was tasty, and the bed was comfortable. However, the hot spring facilities were insufficient for the number of guests staying.
“員工熱誠好客”
The dining offerings were quite refined and original.
The ryokan staff were genuinely hospitable and made us feel special; dinner was very good with plenty of food that we couldn’t finish. Nothing negative.
“amazing outdoor onsen + wonderful staff”
We loved staying here and wish we could have stayed longer; it became our favorite spot on the trip. The setting is super quiet with nature all around, and the outdoor onsen was perfect for soaking while watching snow fall and the distant forest—heavenly. The indoor public baths were also a nice size. The staff were very helpful and attentive; when we checked in they asked if we planned to visit Zao Fox Village and told us the bus would likely be full, then booked a taxi for us—thanks a lot for that. Their attention to detail while showing us around the hotel and serving us meals was exceptional. Vending machines inside the hotel were handy with a good variety. If traditional Japanese food isn’t your cup of tea, it may be a bit tricky; the food is fresh and high quality but didn’t suit our palate. We tried to eat as much as possible because wasting food is a no‑go for us. Keep in mind that the small café in the neighborhood doesn’t always open. The beds were the most comfortable thing; we loved the tatami flooring and futons—so comfortable it was hard to get out of bed. If we return to this area, we’d love to stay here again.
