“Der Abschied fiel schwer.”
This is a very quiet place, ideal for anyone needing a retreat, detox, or similar. The hosts do their best to meet every request, just let them know. The breakfast and dinner are varied, always freshly prepared (including the bread!) with regional ingredients. I stayed there for 10 days, usually the only guest. My room with balcony was very large with a big bathroom, offering a beautiful valley view. The terraces are large, well furnished, and full of loving décor everywhere. But the best are Brahim and Andrea—wonderful, attentive, and interesting people! Andrea is a Reiki master and first treated my injured knee, later adding Shadow‑Work. Everything was surprisingly effective, sustainable, and very affordable. Brahim showed me the souk and the internet café in Asni, recommended attractions (the weekly market in Ijukak was a highlight), took me to Asni for the shared taxi, organized a henna artist who painted my hands, and provided plenty of historical and cultural information. The downside is that internet in this valley is weak (download movies in Asni), but the advantage is that you can truly disconnect (not just the PC) and become calmer. It’s a place to simply be! Hot water is available in the morning and/or evening—just let them know (my room was at the end of the line). Sometimes dogs bark at night, but you’re warned and given earplugs ;) In March it was still cool in the mornings and evenings, but there are plenty of wool blankets to snuggle into.
“Entspannung im Atlasgebirge”
The place was spotless, the room spacious, and both dinner and breakfast were tasty; the staff were very helpful. The only downside was that hot water was only available from 18‑21 h and none of the rooms were heated.
“A real home from home (if home is a mountain paradise)”
What a treasure! Brahim and Andrea welcomed us warmly and the food—home‑cooked, some home‑grown, and locally sourced when possible—was delicious. The views were breathtaking; after walking a few miles up the lone road behind the property we found ourselves in the clouds with Toubkal looming above. Overall, a cozy, lovely place run by wonderful people. It was late December and very cold outside (the riad sits just below the snow line), so the bedroom could have been a touch warmer, but we understood what we were signing up for.
“Unforgettable”
The views are magnificent, and the staff are more than just staff—you’re cared for by the owners, Ibrahim and Andrea. You couldn’t feel more at home. Everything was perfect.
Brahim and Andrea were fantastic hosts, the venue itself was amazing, and we thoroughly enjoyed the cooking class—can’t wait to return!
