The pool was clean and the grounds gorgeous, the staff super friendly and accommodating, always ready to answer questions or fulfill requests; service was truly excellent, with daily bed making and optional towel removal, plus free beach towels; the location is great, quick to reach Ponta Delgada and near a connecting road east or west. We initially had a room where the roosters crowed early in the morning, but we were allowed to change rooms.

The property is large and well‑grown, rooms are adequately spacious and cleaned properly. The kitchen equipment is really poor—only 4 plates for 4 people, no toaster, etc.—so self‑catering is difficult; otherwise it feels functional and not cozy—no sofa pillows, no indirect lamps, sparse and unclean terrace furniture, so you couldn’t sit outside.

The entire complex is lovely, with beautiful gardens, a great pool and green space; the chicken coop and cats were a bonus, making it appealing for longer stays. It’s well‑located, close to everything. Nothing about the property was bad; the only reason it didn’t get a 10 was the pillows were far too firm.

The setting is pretty with vegetation, the kids loved the pool and cats, the staff were smiling and kind, and we appreciated the towel loan for the thermal springs. The kitchen equipment is limited, so staying longer would have been less convenient for homemade meals.
