El Rancho Boulder Motel

The location was good and the staff were helpful. The fan light was too bright. The table lamp didn’t work, so the staff brought a small desk lamp. I couldn’t turn the shower on unless I pulled really, really hard. The staff came and fixed it, but it was still hard to turn on without feeling you were going to break it.

“Peaceful stay away from but near Vegas.”

The neighborhood is the best! Across the street from a park and a great, sweet spot for dog strolls. Two blocks to downtown with great eateries. Quiet, peaceful, green. The property is old, but for me that is the charm. For visitors wanting slick glam, this would not be their place. I love El Rancho.

We arrived after office hours, and the girl called me to say she would leave the key inside the room, which was open—just open it, and that’s it, very little reliability. We didn’t do check‑in at any point, and when I checked out, no one asked me for any documentation. The facilities are very old.

A good motel for those traveling by car. Convenient location, large and clean rooms. Friendly staff.

The bed frame needs padding; two bruised shins and a broken toe made it uncomfortable.
