“Beautiful place, I’d stay again for sure.”
The location is great and the view is beautiful. The room was spotless, well organized, with high ceilings and tasteful décor. The old building itself is cool, and the porch is nice; parking is convenient. Every amenity I could think of was there—I especially liked having a kettle! The owner was super friendly and helpful. The bathroom lacks privacy; the open roof lets you see the rest of the room and the barn‑style door never stays shut. The four skylights are very bright early in the morning, so you need an eye mask to sleep.
Great place. Good location . Friendly host. Didn't get the info on how to find it. I have mobility issues and there were a lot of fairly steep stairs
Great location, very welcoming host, comfortable and stylish accommodation
“A pretty stop, but Pictou is not really a destination.”
A room that feels pretty and sits in a great spot. Tabitha has clearly poured effort into making the space both comfy and artistic, and she was friendly, attentive, and full of local knowledge, which helped us hit most highlights even with a brief visit. We strolled by the water—what a treat—explored downtown, and relaxed in our room. Pictou itself feels rather plain; it seems to be trying to shift from a fishing village to a tourist destination but still has a long way to go. The shops are mixed: the two dockside spots and A‑1 Pizza (a full restaurant) were welcoming with tasty food, while Sea Glass Coffee House didn’t open until 9 am, which was a real issue for tired travelers, and it felt a bit gloomy.
It’s well appointed and lovely. Nothing
