The hostel’s location and the cleanliness of the room and common areas were good, but the room had a strong sewage smell and the hair dryer didn’t work.
The location is great and the price is reasonable.

Boa Nova Hostel is an inspiring refuge for anyone wanting to explore Graciosa. Situated in a prime spot in Santa Cruz, it offers an ideal starting point for extended island visits. The highlight is the beautifully restored building, blending historic charm with contemporary comfort to create a welcoming atmosphere perfect for travellers.
“Perfect stay in Graciosa”
The place was spotless, super comfy, and super quiet! We stayed in a large first‑floor room that was spacious, had a great bed, a perfect shower, and good air‑con. Every interior detail was tasteful and made from local materials. On the second floor there’s a living room and kitchen that are not only fully equipped but also stunning; it’s amazing how the hosts turned an old abandoned building into a gem. The price is incredibly cheap for what you get. The location is close to everything – the sea, the city centre, the airport, and good restaurants (we were impressed by the fish at “Jale”:) ). We definitely recommend this place to any traveller and would stay here again if we return to beautiful Graciosa Island!
La zona comune, top assoluto. Pulita e vicina al centro. Le camerate, non tanto per la struttura ma per la sfiga di poter beccare qualche scoreggione americano come ho beccato io. Sfida che ho prontamente accettato. Anche il fatto che si usassero codici per tutto. Se ti dimentichi il cel in stanza sei fregato
