Fortkochi Beach Inn

Close proximity to the beach and the rest of Fort Cochin can be covered on foot. Clean rooms and toilets, including 24*7 hot water. Friendly staff. Allowed us early check-in, subject to availability, of course, at no extra cost. Has a lovely hangout spot on the terrace. The breakfast was okay; it wasn't the best, but not bad at all. Not deal breakers but- - Breakfast can be better. - The television has only Malayalam channels; smart TVs would be better. - The Airtel/Jio mobile signals are bad, weak WiFi signal sometimes doesn't help. - Kettles in the room with tea/coffee premix can be expected at this price. - Baclonies have a lot of mosquitoes

“Good value for money, clean rooms and proximity to cultural and food options”

The location is great, close to cultural events, shopping, and the beach, and the reception staff were helpful with tips and water. However, there was visible black mold in the bathroom ceiling that should be cleaned more regularly due to the humid air, and breakfast could offer more local options.

“Sehr dreckige Betten und Zimmer.”

The place sits right in the heart of Fort Kochi and the airport pickup was well organized. The beds and rooms were very dirty, so a sleeping bag would have been better. The owner and the receptionist were unfriendly and not very helpful, and early in the morning there was loud noise from other guests talking and eating with doors open. For what we got it was too expensive compared to other bookings we’ve had in India so far.

The stay was fantastic: the room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location and service were excellent. I’d definitely recommend it and can’t wait to return. The only small downside was that the room could use a bit more space, but overall it was a pleasant experience.
