Casa Boutique Hotel

The hotel is a charming 3‑star place, and as other reviews mention, the breakfasts are tasty and filling. Overall the staff is pleasant, though some people were not very friendly, leading to misunderstandings over the odd payment system at reception. Unfortunately, the windows in the room were very dirty, which was unpleasant and detracted from enjoying the stay. Pigeons flew around inside the enclosed pool area, and nobody seemed to notice; they pecked the water and were trapped outside. I reported it to reception, after which the birds were released. Additionally, the reception staff get confused about service prices, so I spent half an hour figuring out how much to pay for dinner and bar drinks, and they gave me different amounts several times. I had to speak in several languages, write things down, and waste time and nerves. It was also odd that when you pay for dinner or bar items that aren't included in the basic package (room and breakfast), you’re not given a bill to pay, and after payment you’re not given a receipt, creating confusion about whether you paid or not. This should not happen.

The staff and room were great, but unfortunately, the pool had a lifeguard and you couldn't even get a drink by the pool. It's a shame because the hotel had so much potential.

“Lovely stay”

Staying at this hotel was a great experience, thanks to its fantastic location between the rail and bus stations. The staff were absolutely brilliant, going out of their way to help us with everything we needed. The only minor issue was that some of the maintenance work could have been done to a higher standard, but the decor was perfectly in keeping with the age of the building. Overall, it was a lovely stay.

“Noisy, no hot water and extremely disappointing”

I was really looking forward to staying at Casa Hotel again, given my previous great experience. Unfortunately, this time was a letdown. The hotel's central location, just a stone's throw from the train station, is still a major plus. But, despite the room being spacious and clean, the noise from a party in the hall next door was unbearable. I'd specifically asked for a quiet room and requested to be away from the lift, but ended up with one of the worst possible rooms.

“The best stay I have had”

I'm not sure what more you could ask for in a hotel - perfect location, amazing service, and great rooms and facilities. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and the hotel itself was spotless. I didn't encounter any issues during my stay, which is a testament to the hotel's high standards.
