“Think twice for such amount of money”
The hotel did its job as a quick stop on our trip. The breakfast staff were friendly, and the barista made a fantastic latte. My daughter enjoyed the tangerine and cucumber on the breakfast spread. The shower had hot water, and the garden and terrace were sunny and inspiring. 1. Late check‑in was exhausting: we arrived after midnight, and although the reservation was for a single room instead of a double with a child, the process took over 40 minutes. The receptionist had to physically make the bed herself, so the room wasn’t ready for guests. 2. Hygiene issues: we found two hairs (one dark, one light) on the pillow right after entering, and when I asked if someone had slept there, the receptionist blamed the cleaning staff without apologising or offering a quick fix. Another hair was in the bathroom sink. 3. Terrible pillows: I had to ask the receptionist to change the pillowcase myself. The pillow was an oversized (~1 m × 80 cm) lump filled with cotton clumps. When I requested a proper hotel‑style pillow, she said all pillows in the hotel were identical. Luckily we had our own travel pillows. 4. Maintenance problems: the bathroom door handle was broken on both sides; there were obvious previous attempts to fix it, but it still didn’t work. 5. Poor breakfast quality: the breakfast was disappointing – cheap sausages and low‑quality substitutes, and even the chocolate spread tasted terrible. 6. Inflexible check‑out: check‑out was at 10:00 AM, which is early for a transit hotel, especially since we only arrived around 1:00 AM. When we asked for a modest late check‑out at 11:00 AM, the staff were sour and offered no flexibility.
