“A very comfortable hotel with a homely feel”

The location was superb, and it was worth paying a little extra for the mountain view of Gaustatoppen. The hotel felt very homely, with soft furnishings in the common areas and ornaments and pictures in the bedroom. The dinner menu was a bit limited and lacked local flavour, though it was low season. Breakfast was adequate, with nice cheeses on the Norwegian menu, but most of the cooked items were fried either too long or at too hot a temperature.

“Magnifique”

Everything was just perfect: the room, the décor, the staff, and the fabulous breakfast with a wide selection. One small drawback: at the reception we weren’t told that we needed to book the sauna, which was a pity because we would have liked to relax there in the evening.

The hotel was beautiful with a welcoming lounge and fireplace, well‑furnished rooms, and a lovely breakfast. The playroom was a plus. The rooms were small, and I would have preferred a bathtub instead of a shower. There were a few broken toys in the playroom.
