The place was clean, modern, and comfy, and the breakfast was solid, but the front desk was the worst check‑in I've ever had—totally unfriendly and unwelcoming. The woman at the desk just stared at me, took my ID, handed me the keys, and said, “Here you go.” I had to find the elevator and ask another staff member about breakfast. Inside the room, a dirty coffee cup with lipstick stains was mixed in with the clean ones, which was disgusting.

The breakfast buffet was excellent, the bed was comfortable, and there was no sign of bed bugs; the room’s HVAC was confusing—apparently I hit the wrong button and it shut off for the whole night, but the rest of the hotel kept the temperature from rising, and I needed white noise so I tried to get the fan to turn on.

The location was great, close to good restaurants and right off the highway, and the staff were very kind and helpful, but the cleanliness could improve and it was very noisy.

“I will stay there again next year when I do my road trip to Michigan, so nothing was a deal breaker”

I stayed at the same location 2 weeks earlier and it was excellent. The breakfast was GREAT. Two things: 1) The HVAC system was set at 68 deg F when I arrived. Since I am not a side of beef, I tried to change the temp to 72 deg F. The system shut down and never ran again, although the temp seems to stabilize. I need the fan to run for white noise but there was no way to get it to run.; 2)Not sure why they don't provide plastic cups for cold beverages, just paper cups for coffee. Not a big deal but seemed odd

“staff apologized over and over again for the dangerous situation in the room. Better training for the staff that changes”

Convenient, good breakfast, good staff; however, a part of the bed frame was dangerously protruding horizontally with a sharp metal edge between the two beds, and it was inexcusable that whoever set up the room didn’t notice it or have staff fix it—someone could have cut their leg.
