I chose the Stefan Cel Mare room and it was just as wonderful as the rest of the property, with castle‑like interiors that made the stay feel special. The place was clean, the location was perfect for exploring the area, and the restaurant served great food for dinner and breakfast. Everything else was fine.

The property was beautiful, the owner friendly, and the food, especially the generous breakfast, was fantastic. Alexander kept in touch before we arrived and gave us plenty of useful tips to make the most of the area. We should bring an eye mask because the room had no curtain or blind, and keep in mind you’ll need your own transport as Castel Unghern is a bit off the main sights—though that’s probably why you’d want to stay here in the first place.
