“Ausser Checkin war es gut 👍🏻”

The check‑in took a very long time even though we were there before 3 pm, when we were told we could pick up keys. When we returned after 3 pm to get our keys, it again took a long time. We were asked the same questions and required to have all guests appear again, even though we had already been checked in together. This made me very upset and disappointed; I don’t understand why we had to go through the whole process again instead of simply receiving our keys. It was unnecessarily time‑consuming and caused a very unpleasant start.

I booked NH Collection Milano CityLife two weeks ahead to upgrade for my wife’s milestone birthday, even followed up the day before by email and phone, yet received no response from the hotel or the booking site. I wanted to arrange flowers and a surprise in the room and was ready to pay extra, but the complete silence meant nothing could be set up. At check‑in, the staff checked our passports, clearly seeing my wife’s birth date, yet there was no “Happy birthday.” Despite my earlier messages, no one acknowledged the occasion or offered any assistance. Having traveled a lot, this was one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had in terms of communication and guest care. A simple reply and a bit of thoughtfulness would have mattered a lot. The stay, meant to celebrate a special event, left us feeling completely ignored. The location was awkward and inconvenient for getting around Milan. Overall, a very disappointing stay for a hotel with the NH Collection name.

Everything was fine, but there was a sewage smell coming from the bathroom that I had to counter by opening the windows; it was unexpected.

“Buon rapporto qualità prezzo”

The building looks great and the breakfast is superb. The staff are friendly and efficient, though the maintenance could use some work – there was a broken abatjour that wouldn’t turn off.

“Excellent value for money, and a rather chic and relaxing atmosphere.”

Breakfast was excellent, the location was spot‑on, and the staff were all very courteous and helpful. However, restocking items that ran out at breakfast was a bit disorganised and slow, and on two occasions I arrived late to meetings because I was waiting for food that was no longer there.
