Perched on a hill in Koh Samui, Silavadee Pool Spa Resort offers a private beach, an outdoor infinity pool, and free Wi‑Fi with a DVD library. Thai‑style rooms feature teak furnishings, flat‑screen TVs, iPod docks and minibars, while en‑suite bathrooms include bathtubs and hairdryers. The on‑site wellness spa provides massages, and The Height Restaurant serves fresh seafood and Thai cuisine with Gulf‑of‑Thailand views. Shuttle service connects Lamai, Chaweng and Samui Airport.

The property was extraordinary, with extremely helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast left no room for disappointment, especially the à la carte egg dishes and Asian options. The infinity pools were gorgeous, and the overall design of the resort was very appealing. Unfortunately, the hotel’s own beach isn’t suitable for swimming; you can only dip 2 m into the water and lie down, but swimming without snorkeling gear is difficult because of a small coral reef right in front. Some pool areas also had an unpleasant odor, probably because the many water basins don’t drain directly. It’s a shame, especially since the infinity pools offer a view of the open sea.

Everything was excellent, the breakfast food was outstanding even for resorts and restaurants. The location is a bit remote but worth it; there are shuttle services so you can leave easily, and it’s very close to Lamai and not too far from Chalong.

The place has an amazing location and the villas are comfortable; the staff are super friendly and they pay attention to the little details here and there.
