“Handy quiet location.”

We received a warm welcome; the place was very clean, comfortable, and breakfast was included in the price. Even though Dyce airfield was on one side and a train line on the other, it was remarkably quiet, so I’d definitely stay again. The only issue was that there was only one pillow on the bed, but I’m sure the host would have supplied another if I’d asked, and breakfast was continental—though I prefer cooked options, it was a self‑serve spread with a reasonable selection and good value for the price.

Most things were decent for the price, but the staff told me the kettle was broken and instead of fixing it, they sent me down to the breakfast room to get coffee or tea at midnight.

The value was terrible, noise from planes and helicopters started at 6:00 am, light switches didn’t work, the furniture was cheap and in bad shape, there was no way to hang clothes, only one cup and one glass for a booking of five people, and breakfast was just pre‑packed croissants and chocolate buns from the discount store.

The room was a decent size, but the bed was awful and the breakfast was stale cereal and toast with only jam, which the kids didn’t like and the cereal tasted horrible.
