The proximity to the beach and the seaside restaurant was great, but the AC struggled to keep the room cool because the building’s insulation was poor.

Good simple room a 1 min walk to beach. It’s owned/operated by the larger beachside place (sedjiwa), so you can get breakfast and use those beach loungers which is nice. And sedjiwa was quieter than other beachfront places which I liked, and with bae gili tucked back behind the road it’s even quieter. Note that on this side of the island you get nice sunrises - I loved rolling out of bed and going to beach early in am to watch sun come up. Kinda hard to describe but the high ceiling btwn two different bathrooms that shared a wall wasn’t sealed off? It didn’t impact privacy but was a strange choice, couldn’t tell if was for ventilation

The place is pretty and quiet; you only hear birds and palm trees. In two minutes you’re at the beach, you can have breakfast at the beach restaurant, and you can stay in the lounge chairs. It’s the best spot to see turtles from the beach. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful, with several options. The staff were very friendly. The AC in my room worked great. The hotel is a bit run down, with some half‑broken walls; if you ask for cleaning, they’ll tidy the bed, but sometimes no one is there to ask. It’s a bit far from the center (20 minutes walking), and for a solo woman it’s better to rent a bike or scooter because you have to pass through dark areas at night.

The bathroom was very spacious and the room was pleasant. There were two towels per person, which was great for the beach. The sheets were very soft. The bathroom was dirty; I had to clean the drain myself upon arrival. The pool was poorly maintained and small, so it didn’t feel inviting to swim, even though we chose the place for that. Breakfast was included and was okay, but it was at the restaurant in front of the beach and honestly not great; the staff kept forgetting things every morning and the food was not very good.
