I paid in full for two rooms, yet only one was available because the hotel gave the “available” rooms to guests who had cancelled but still turned up; finding a room for myself became a personal problem. Fortunately I managed to secure a room at Orinoco Guest House, where the lady managing the place showed what true hospitality looks like—five stars for her! I also checked my coworker’s room, which was very outdated, and I still wonder why there was a video projector mounted on the headboard of the bed.
