The staff and owners were amazing and friendly, the rooms were beautiful, breakfast was lovely, and overall the stay was wonderful—an absolutely beautiful, quaint place to stay. Thank you so much, Plough Inn.

A great country pub. It was busy when we arrived, and the staff offered a drink before we were escorted to our room. The beer was good and the atmosphere excellent. We ate there in the evening and the food surpassed typical pub fare. Our room was huge with both double and single beds, a good bathroom, and it was quiet and undisturbed. Breakfast was a basic “help yourself” setup with no staff present—just toast, fruit, yoghurt, cereals, etc. No complaints about that, as we didn’t expect breakfast. The only issue was that the beds were a bit creaky; the wooden frames and joints made noise.

Breakfast was self‑serve; I had a Quaker porridge pot that I just added hot water to in my room, a packaged Pan au chocolat, and a banana. There was a toaster I could have used and milk in a fridge at the small breakfast station. The room was clean, spacious, had a TV, and an ensuite. It was very useful to be able to eat a meal in the restaurant after I arrived, which was very nicely presented. The only problem was that there was noise most of the night that disturbed my sleep, which I think came from the plumbing system.

Convenient to Aston Le Walls. Noisy: I stayed with my children because it was close to a horse show; the lady behind the bar welcomed me but she wasn’t overly friendly, breakfast was very low standard with no staff in the morning, the noise from drinkers was loud, there was a smell of smoke and foul language and shouting so loud it almost sounded like a fight on the second night. My children were worried about what was going on. The room was suitable for the four of us and we managed to get some sleep and have a shower.
