The apartment was gorgeous – spotless, well‑kept and offered an incredible view that made the stay feel really relaxing. The only drawback was that there was no Wi‑Fi at all, which was a bit inconvenient.

The place is conveniently located near the hiking trails, which was perfect for our walks, but the host was far from welcoming and the kitchen was seriously under‑equipped – no proper pot, large pan, or pasta strainer. We ended up borrowing utensils from the next‑door hotel and were told to return them immediately, with the host making snide comments in Bulgarian.

We got solid value for the price, with a great spot for exploring the Seven Rila Lakes, pet‑friendly options, a balcony view, a well‑stocked communal kitchen and free on‑site parking; the staff were also very helpful and communication during a small issue was smooth. The only annoyances were the almost‑nonexistent toilet‑paper supply for a two‑night stay and the wet‑room style bathroom that left the floor soaked, plus a dirty mat right by the door.
