The jacuzzi was broken and an extra charge was applied; there was no proper curtain and the one that was there was too short for privacy. There was no hot water when I took a bath.

The staff were accommodating and friendly, and a firpit with burning wood was available. The property looks a bit tired, but for the price it was good value.

We could check in early, and the building was being renovated, so the no‑contact system worked well—no keys needed. The place sits on a quiet street yet is near restaurants, and I liked the laminate floors and the fire pit with BBQ area. However, the hotel feels old‑fashioned, the yellow toilet and tub in the bathroom need replacement, the exterior could use a facelift, and the signage is inadequate.

Bing, the owner, was incredibly friendly and gave us great local tips. There was nothing to complain about; we even woke up to a herd of big horn sheep, which was a nice touch.

The facilities were excellent, and the staff spoke Chinese, so we could communicate directly in Mandarin.
