The location and view are the main perks of the place; I think it’s clever that they converted the basement of the pre‑house into two small, well‑furnished, tasteful rooms, which really lifted the mood! I didn’t expect the kitchen to always have a little tea, coffee, muesli, etc. for breakfast. The peace and quiet were huge, as if no other guests were around. The hosts did a great job: they welcomed us, showed everything, and were available within 10 minutes for any question. Fantastic guided hikes go in every direction from the accommodation, which is another reason to choose this spot. The walls between the two rooms are paper‑thin, so everything (and everything!) seeped through after 22:00 and in the early hours; aside from that I felt very comfortable. Also, the downside of the place is its upside: it’s at least a 23‑minute walk on foot, uphill, from the Balatonakali station, so it’s worth coming by car if you don’t want to walk that much.
