The hotel’s location, tasty breakfasts, wide selection of dishes, décor, and quietness are all positives. However, a refrigerator would have been welcome for longer stays. The wardrobe doors for clothes all hung on the top, there was no shelf above the sink, and the sink had little space for cups, causing soap to spill inside. The sink was too small and shallow, so the water splashed to the sides.

The breakfast was brilliant, with a lovely clean breakfast room. It’s a 1‑minute walk to the river and a 3‑minute walk to High Street. On weekends, it can be quite noisy outside, and the busy bar opposite stays open until early hours.
