“Liebenswürdige Gastgeber”

First off, it’s a really beautiful spot among coconut palms, and the huts are spacious and well equipped—top! But the surroundings aren’t as great; it’s far outside the city behind a big through‑road that’s barely audible, yet the neighborhood is crammed with powerful speakers blasting Vietnamese music, which isn’t exactly melodic for Western ears. I wanted to sit outside at night and listen to nature, but that was sometimes impossible. Luckily the Vietnamese government has a curfew from 10 pm, so you can sleep in peace. The fact that it’s so far away only becomes clear through reviews; the description should mark the location so guests know exactly where it is. On that street there’s nothing but a few shops, construction, and heavy traffic. You can’t just go out for a nice dinner or a beer in the evening. Without a scooter you’re completely stranded, but that also gives you a chance to explore the surroundings, which can be quite nice if you drive far enough. I still chose this place because I thought I’d find a quiet, idyllic spot, but the Vietnam disco in the neighborhood destroyed any sense of tranquility. It was a disappointment for me. In the end I was glad I only booked two nights. It’s a shame and really a disaster for the operators, who are incredibly kind and helpful, but they can’t do anything about the neighbors.

A brand‑new homestay that’s very original, with independent accommodations and meals served on our terrace. The owner offers excellent local cuisine that changes every day. Free bicycles are available for a great excursion to local artisan farms and to explore the small canals. The lovely couple is easy to communicate with via WhatsApp. We highly recommend it. Nothing to complain about.

The hosts are lovely and the meals were excellent; they were very helpful with the lifts and arranging tours, and the location is very peaceful. Bikes are available to borrow. The text you copy will automatically show here.
