“Okay, too expensive for one night and shady housekeeping staff”
The hotel was clean and the pool stayed open until 10 p.m., but I’m seriously concerned about the housekeeping staff’s safety judgment: my 17‑year‑old daughter asked a housekeeper how to get from our room to the continental breakfast, and instead of simply directing her down the hallway to the lobby—the correct and safest route—the housekeeper told her to go outside, walk all the way around the front of the hotel, and enter through the main entrance. That was completely unnecessary and put a minor in a potentially unsafe situation. We had entered through the rear entrance, and our room was immediately accessible from that area, so my daughter genuinely did not know that the hallway led directly to the lobby. The housekeeper did. What makes this even more disturbing is that the hotel itself has human‑trafficking safety warnings posted on the room doors, yet a female staff member directed a 17‑year‑old girl to leave the building and walk around the exterior alone when there was absolutely no need for her to do so. Whether this was carelessness, indifference, or simply not paying attention, there is no acceptable excuse for giving a minor unsafe directions when a safe, obvious route was available. Needless to say, there was no tip.
