The rooms were very luxurious and ideal for a two‑night stay in Namche. However, staff were often absent from the reception, making it hard to get help. They also seemed to be chatting loudly until about midnight, which made the stay uncomfortable.

The location was excellent and the view from the hotel was lovely. The food was very good, especially one of the best vegan burgers we had on the trek. The owner forgot our booking even though we’d booked over three months ahead. When we arrived, we were given a room with two separate beds for three people and no attached bathroom. Even though we were not charged for the night, we still feel it was wrong to overlook our reservation. The next day we received a triple room, but the bathroom had no hot water. Throughout the trek, guides were provided free food and lodging, but at Namche Terrace no accommodation or food was offered for the guide, so we had to pay for the guide’s meal. Among all the places on the EBC trek, Namche Terrace was the only one that didn’t give any consideration or food to the guide.

The food was very good and one of the best I’ve had on the EBC trail. The restaurant’s atmosphere was very pleasant, with background music. Unfortunately, the rooms were very cold at night for the price, and the shower had to be paid extra to get hot water.
