Dhiguveli Breeze

The staff was really friendly. We stayed from Monday to Thursday and were disappointed with how the marine excursions are organized. All trips are scheduled on fixed days of the week. We wanted to join the nurse shark excursion, but it was scheduled for Monday and had already taken place by the time we arrived. Since we were only staying a few days, we had no other opportunity to join. The only alternative offered was a private boat at an extremely overpriced rate. We understand the need for a fixed schedule, but the hotel should offer more flexibility or reasonably priced alternatives for guests staying for a short period. Unfortunately, this was a disappointing experience.

“Agradable”

The beds were very, very comfortable, and the room was spacious. The room is cleaned every day and towels are changed. The breakfast is the most complete one I’ve had in this country, a full buffet. The staff, especially Sara, is charming and attentive. The island is spectacular and the beach is close to the accommodation. It’s something that is generally agreed on this island, but they force you to do excursions and diving with the hotel‑associated center. That really bothered me because I think I have the right to choose where I spend money, whether it’s respectful to animals, and whether the price is competitive. Compared to other islands, the prices are very high because there’s no competition… I understand that they are managed that way, but we should also have the right to know the consumer options before booking. The diving with the associated center is great, but the whale shark excursion left a lot to be desired.

The distance to the beach was fine, the buffet breakfast offered real choices, and the staff even asked if I wanted an omelette. The AC worked well, the balcony was pleasant, and the bed was comfortable. They tried to charge me for items I didn’t eat from the room; apparently someone had eaten chips, left the can, and the staff didn’t catch it, so they thought it was me. We explained it at checkout.
