I stayed at this place for the third time on my trip, and it turned out to be the worst hotel I’ve ever been to. The building feels ancient, not charming, and there was mold in the shower and even on the shower head. The bed sheets and bathrobe were covered in hair, and the room was right next to the entrance, so privacy was nonexistent. The air conditioning blew hard on us all night and we couldn’t turn it off because it was already hot in Beirut. Breakfast was a disappointment too – the food was stale and dry, and when I asked for fried eggs they only offered me scrambled eggs. When we checked out, they charged us for parking inside the hotel, saying it wasn’t free even for guests. The staff were unfriendly, ignored any feedback, and seemed ready to snap at us.
