“Lovely experience in a western/japanese style room.Bath was very special as well.”

The hotel is gorgeous and sits in a peaceful neighborhood, with plenty of nearby restaurants and easy walking distance. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and the room was well equipped. The only downside was the distance from the train station; we had to take buses to the city center, which were often crowded and sometimes seat‑less, though they were clean and on time.

“Look for better options.”

The staff were very friendly, just like throughout Japan. The reality was far from the pictures: first, check Google Street View for the true look; second, the apartment had random toilet odors; third, the actual bathroom was far from the photo—no candles or plants as shown. Breakfast was delivered to your room as is, with no real selection; if you’re not into Japanese style (miso soup, raw fish, rice, etc.) you could ask for a “western style” option with cold fried eggs, which my family also skipped. There’s no common area. The hotel is actually a converted house with separate rooms, old furniture, carpet, and wall scratches. The location is too far to walk around the city, so you’ll need Uber daily.
