The dinner had elaborate dishes that I enjoyed. The sulfur smell was strong, maybe it’s typical for a hot spring. Because checkout was at 11am I could relax. They advertised all‑inclusive but drinks at dinner were extra. Only the lounge was free. When I arrived and left there was no greeting or parking information, no escort on the way out. I don’t think the price is justified. The bathroom view in my room is right over the parking lot, so it’s not calm.

I loved how quiet and peaceful it was here, and the staff were super friendly. I was pleasantly surprised that they didn't serve typical Japanese breakfast items like natto or grilled seaweed. One thing that would've been nice is brighter lighting in the rooms - the color was good, just not enough light. Also, during meals, it would've been easier if they served individual portions from the pot instead of asking if the amount was okay.

I had a great time at this hotel - the onsen water was amazing and the Nasu area is really cool. The food was also incredible.

I gifted a stay here to my daughter and her husband, and they had an amazing time. My daughter's pregnancy made some meal requests necessary, and she was able to email with Yamaji-san multiple times to arrange everything. They were really happy with the communication and care they received, and I was surprised - and grateful - to get an update email from the hotel on their stay. The semi-outdoor bath was a big hit too.
