“Mini break at gorgeous Dufton.”
The entire layout was stunning, with gorgeous bedrooms and fantastic breakfasts. The hotel manageress was very friendly and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful mini break. The only issue was the absence of a hotel name sign at the property—just a minor nitpick.
“Would love to come back.”
The location was perfect for walking the Pennine Way, and we enjoyed an evening meal in the pub right across the road. The decor was lovely, especially the art‑deco lounge. We recognized the stairway from the old YH. Breakfast was great, and overall the place was fabulous. I’m not sure the website mentioned breakfast availability—only new reviews.
“We came for a funeral it suited our needs a beautiful place to stay and would definitely stay again”
I think you should be able too pay for a buffet or a cooked breakfast separate ie fried breakfast £10 or buffet £10 and not have to have both for £20. Separate breakfast as explained

Everything was immaculate. It’s a bit on the expensive side, but I understand why.

The housekeeper was very pleasant. Breakfast was good and the garden lovely. The building isn’t staffed after 1500, so when we entered we found the bedroom unacceptably cold. I called the emergency number but could only leave a message. The pub opposite called the owner, who came to Redstones and fixed the issue. He spoke to us at the pub. Reception in Dufton is so poor that we didn’t receive replies to our emergency messages until we went to Apleby.
