The food at Riu falls short in quality, not quantity or variety. Bring your own snorkel gear, otherwise buying one here costs 90 dollars. You can rent it for a 50 dollar deposit, but it can’t be used outside the activity zone, so it’s not worth it.

We had an absolutely unforgettable stay at RIU Maldives. From the moment we arrived, everything surpassed our expectations and felt truly special. We were originally booked for RIU Atoll, but we were lucky enough to be upgraded to RIU Palace Maldives, a surprise that made the holiday even more memorable. The resort itself is stunning—a true tropical paradise with breathtaking views, beautiful beaches, crystal‑clear water, and a completely relaxing atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally friendly, kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, showing they truly cared about guests. One moment that highlighted their dedication was when I lost my glasses while jet‑skiing; the staff found them in the ocean within two hours, an amazing gesture that exceeded my expectations. The food was another highlight: fresh, delicious, and varied, with each meal offering something different and consistently high quality. We looked forward to every breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the restaurants were very good with a wide selection. The air conditioning in the room was a bit difficult to manage.

The resort is impeccable, the rooms are huge and welcoming, and the staff are very kind, polite, and attentive to every customer need. We had a great stay and I highly recommend it.

Polite and attentive staff, a clean beach and overall tidy grounds, delicious food and cocktails, a comfortable room, and a free transfer upgrade from the hotel that pleasantly surprised me.
