I woke up to a decent breakfast that was well cooked, though the coffee came in plastic-covered paper cups that felt more like a gas station than a hotel. The owner, energetic but not very polite, seemed unprepared when I arrived, standing barefoot and asking me to show my reservation proof instead of checking a list or their system. After a long drive as a solo traveler, that was unsettling. The next morning, before check‑out time, the owner sat loudly outside my room in the carriage house TV area, talking about preparing for the next guest who was also standing outside, which made the place anything but peaceful. The breakfast presentation was mediocre, with plastic cups and plastic wrap covering everything, and both the room and common areas looked quite grimy.
