It was cheap and allowed me to live comfortably. However, the floor in the men's toilet stayed in a terrible state for a while, and the bathroom shelves and the floor after shifting the bed raised doubts about cleanliness when asked. For ordinary living it was fine.

I slept well in the single bed, but if you’re a couple you’ll end up on separate beds. The kitchen is fine except for a dirty microwave. If you’re planning a long stay this place isn’t right for you; the rooms are very small and awkward for large suitcases, making it hard to climb the stairs with heavy luggage. The bathrooms aren’t clean, the shower smells of mold. It feels like a cleaning lady only comes to tidy rooms of departing guests, not the bathrooms or shared areas like the kitchen and sinks. The location is far from the station – you already know that when you book – and you have to take a bus every day to reach the station, an extra cost on top of the already non‑cheap nightly rate.

The main perk of this place is the price; we stayed several days and only had to sleep there. The hostel spans three floors with multiple rooms, and the bathroom, shower, and common areas are shared. The common areas include a kitchen and a small washbasin. Rooms are tiny, the space is occupied by two beds, so it’s hard to stay if you’re traveling with large luggage or plan to make Tokyo your last stop in Japan. Many hotels and hostels in Japan are small, but if you have big bags, consider that it’s about 16 minutes on foot from the station. If you travel light, it could be a good budget option. When we stayed it was raining and there was no place to dry towels for reuse if you’re staying several days.

Clean facilities and fairly quiet at night. Staff are very friendly and welcome us well. The location is far from center, which add additional cost for transport and extra 30min - 1hours everyday
