“Incredible views of Hunza”

The location was spot‑on, the buildings were gorgeous with stunning views over Hunza, the hotel itself was beautiful and showcased local art for sale, the rooms were a decent size with clean, hygienic bathrooms, and the Qawalli night felt truly atmospheric – I’d definitely return. I do prefer a la‑carte breakfast over the buffet style because sometimes the food and tea get cold too fast, but I’m being picky.

We only stayed one night because the whole area was shut down for traffic after the spiritual leaders arrived the next day, so the hotel management told us to move to Gilgit or we’d be stuck until 25th‑26th May, which we couldn’t afford since our flight from Skardu to Karachi was on 25th‑26th May. We had just one dinner and one breakfast, which could use some improvement.

The ambiance at Hunza Hotel is gorgeous, with snow‑capped mountains in view; the rooms are lovely and come with balconies, but the bed mattress is far too thick and I worry about falling off it – it needs to be firmer. I didn’t like the mattress at all; it’s too thick and not firm enough.
