It’s very central to the trains and the canal.

The staff were very friendly, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and the shower worked perfectly without feeling cramped; there was plenty of room to open my luggage. The free water bottles in the lobby were a big plus. The blinds are too thick – if you leave them open you lose privacy, if you close them you get no sunlight when you wake up.

The staff were nice and helpful, and the room was large for Paris standards. The walk from Gare de l'Est felt a bit unsafe at times; in our room the window didn’t close properly, so it was relatively loud from outside. There was no elevator, making the climb to the third floor with luggage a hassle, and the bed was a bit worn.
