The hotel’s exterior and courtyard are well kept, and because we were heading out for a safari at 5:30 am the next morning, they prepared a takeaway breakfast for us. The room was small—probably because we booked a room with three single beds—its equipment is a bit old, and the air‑conditioning noise is somewhat loud, but since we only stayed one night overall it was okay.

The property is lush and beautiful, the restaurant is nice, and the room is comfortable. It’s a great spot to stay for an early‑morning Udawalawa safari, and the staff helped arrange the transfer to my next location.

“A beautiful, peaceful base for a safari with all the facilities you need including pool & restaurant”

The accommodation was superb. The staff were friendly and very professional, especially Sewwandi at check‑in, the lovely waiters in the restaurant and the welcoming grounds crew who kept the hotel tidy. The restaurant offered a wide variety of dishes and stayed open long for breakfast, lunch and dinner, even providing a packed breakfast for an early safari start. The pool and gardens were beautiful and created a peaceful vibe. We walked into the small nearby town and the Elephant Transit Centre, and the hotel was close to the National Park entrance. Nothing was lacking; everything was outstanding.

“Perfect and comfortable stay for the safari in a gorgeous, well kept property!”

My friends and I spent a night here for a safari. Friendly staff greeted us and offered red currant juice at check‑in. We enjoyed relaxing by the stunning pool before and after the safari and dining at the nearby restaurant. I would definitely return! The only downside was that the restaurant service took a while, though the food was delicious.
