I stayed in a room that felt like a stay with an Egyptian family, so the breakfast was even more Egyptian than continental, and the room itself was simple but otherwise fine. The only downside was that the hotel could only be reached by boat, so I couldn’t even walk a short distance.

The Nubian‑style rooms were comfy and neat, with a back‑and‑forth feel; Mr. Hassan was very kind and generous, and the view was incredible.

⚠️ Catastrophic stay – absolutely avoid! I booked two nights at Fox but couldn’t even stay. The room was very dirty, there was no water, no Wi‑Fi, and the conditions were truly unacceptable. I had to leave immediately because the accommodation was unhygienic. Honestly, run away! I strongly recommend against this place.
