“Zimmer nur für schmale, sportliche, kleine Menschen”
The breakfast was good, with a nice selection of sausages, cheese, and jam, though only in packaged mini portions. I also appreciated the kettle, tea cups, and mini fridge in the room, the natural light, and ample storage in the bathroom. The location is very central, almost in the heart of Carolinensiel. Parking is great and free! During our five‑day stay we only moved the car once, to the electric charging station. With a guest card the bus costs just €1 per person per direction, and it takes you far. Room 12 is probably the least appealing in the building: a loft in the attic, reachable only by a narrow, steep “chicken ladder.” A small, high‑placed attic window lets in little light. The door is only 57 cm wide, and the ceiling height at the highest point is 2.15 m. The room is so tight that the fridge door can only open halfway, and many items can’t stand upright under the slanted roof. At check‑in the host said he only rents out his two “budget” rooms through a specific platform. We felt like second‑class guests. If an architect and a firefighter were to evaluate escape routes and safety, they would probably not be satisfied. There is no lounge in the building where you can sit at a table outside breakfast hours, and the breakfast room is only open in the morning.

Breakfast was okay, the room was clean. The attic room was clearly converted into a room, very cramped and only reachable by a steep staircase. The bathroom heater needs a thorough cleaning. The “Nordic” host’s sarcastic tone was very off‑putting; we’ve never experienced anything like that before.
We liked it very much. We’ll come back gladly.
