Our host Farel is wonderful, always available and extremely kind. You can go without worries for the Ijen climb. You can order meals and breakfast, which is also very hearty and tasty. Farel even came to pick us up at the station and booked our tickets for the Bali boat. A 5/5 thanks to Farel’s family and his guide for the volcano for 2 adults and 4 children.

This was the best value‑for‑money place we stayed at on our trip to Java. The host was very diligent, the room and courtyard were very clean, and the water was replenished promptly. We went out at midnight to climb Ijen volcano, and the host let us return after showering before checking out – very nice. The shower water was great, the breakfast matched a Chinese palate, and everyone finished their plates. A happy day.

Super clean! Very, very friendly host. It’s not far from Ijen (30 min by motorcycle), but the “place” itself is small. On Java there are many mosques. If you want to go to Ijen early, this is an excellent alarm.

The location makes it easy to hike Ijen, and while the setup is simple it provides the basics needed for a night or two, plus the staff are friendly.
