“Nice, but bad value for money.”
The staff and guides were great - lovely and helpful. The rooms are incredible and probably the best thing about the lodge. The price - this was one of the most expensive lodges we stayed at in Namibia, and created expectations that weren't really possible to meet. It is simply overpriced. The lodge had a deeply inauthentic feel to it - its new, owned by an austrian millionaire who lives in a Bond villain house on the estate. We had an interesting tour of the farm, but were sad to see that despite the owner having unlimited budget and thousands of hectares, has decided to effectively battery farm chickens and pigs, who live in concrete pens without any mud or space
