The location is great, but you could hear bins and staff chatting during their breaks from the courtyard, though that was acceptable. The pillows were quite uncomfortable and the air‑con was so loud that we didn’t sleep well over the 5 nights, which was such a shame. You need eye masks too.

The stay was great – the staff were especially nice, answering my questions quickly and well even before I arrived. The room (Penrose) was excellent, and the outdoor area was a real bonus. Breakfast was good, with excellent local coffee, good cooked options, and a well‑stocked buffet. The staff worked hard and did it with a lovely manner. Evening food at the Bistro was good; the restaurant was busy so service didn’t rush us, which was good. I had to cancel dining at the Seafood Restaurant, so I didn’t get to try that. Bar service was great, and the younger waitress was excellent and engaging. Nothing really negative; I would stay again for sure.
