The place is well situated for a visit to Skomer Island and the staff are great, but it feels overpriced for what it offers, likely because of its proximity to Skomer Island where demand is high and availability is low.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, the location is excellent for visiting Skomer Island and walking the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, parking in front is convenient, and breakfast is good.

This was my second four‑night stay at the Lobster Pot and I was again completely satisfied; the three small rooms are simply furnished, clean, and have a Coast Path vibe, with shampoo and other toiletries in the bathroom. Breakfast runs from 7:00 to 9:00, the lunch box was tasty, and both the beer and the food are good, although dinner is only served until about 20:00. A couple who help at breakfast two days a week were especially friendly, and you can have a classic English breakfast prepared for you. Because the place is isolated, prices are probably a bit higher than elsewhere, but the proximity to Marloes Sands is fantastic and it’s dead quiet at night. I was too tired to enjoy the live music on Friday evening. The bus stops right in front of the building and runs three times daily toward St. David’s in season. Great! The only drawback is the thin walls – I’d suggest bringing earplugs.
