Amira was a real host – she looked after us like a mom, stocked the room with shampoo, cream and even a kettle, which made the three‑night stay comfy. The only downside was that the place is a bit of a trek from Bascarsija, roughly a fifteen‑minute walk.

The flat sits just a ten‑minute walk from the centre along Marshal Tito street, yet it’s surprisingly quiet. Our hostess waited for us despite a delayed flight and handled a late check‑in without any trouble, even though she doesn’t speak English. The room stayed cool in the summer heat without needing the AC, and the bathroom – a short step away – was spotless, making the whole stay feel safe and good value for Sarajevo.
