The room was spotless, roomy, and in a great spot, and the hotel itself looked stunning with a friendly team. I especially enjoyed the breakfast, which offered a wide range of clearly marked gluten‑free choices. The only downside was that you could hear everything happening in the bathroom from your room—small but noticeable.

The breakfast quality was superb. The chaos of plates and glasses left by the waiters was unacceptable for a hotel that claims star status. The reception was handled by a very unpleasant blonde woman. The dining area was crowded with Chinese and other Asian children whose manners were lacking, touching bread and anything that fell into their hands—pathetic. On top of that, construction in front forced you to detour to leave, and it will last over a year with no notice—what a theft.

The room was impeccably clean. The hotel sits just outside the city center, but that’s fine because the main tram, bus stop, and metro are only 300 yards away with direct links to downtown, and we enjoy using trams. A temporary construction site fronts the hotel, but since we stayed at the back it didn’t bother us. Expect it to finish in about a year, so I wouldn’t avoid it for that reason.

The room was spacious with a nice sea view, even though there were construction machines on the beach. Sound insulation in the room worked well. Breakfast was a letdown; we expected more from a hotel of this level. There were plenty of options in quantity, but the quality didn’t match Hilton standards.
