Located on Shirahama Beach, Izu Peninsula, the Shimoda Prince Hotel offers ocean views from every room. Guests can access the hotel via a free shuttle bus from Izukyushimoda Train Station or a 10-minute taxi ride. Staff were very kind and capable, the spot was quiet and right on the seafront, a free shuttle bus and an onsen were available – great experience.

The beach is right next door, the room offers a sea view, there’s a kids’ pool making it family‑friendly, the seawater is crystal clear, the grounds are spacious, and a shuttle bus is provided. However, if you rely on public transport, shopping and dining options are limited; the hotel has a shop, but the nearest convenience store is about a 20‑minute walk.
