The place’s location and the experience of staying in a cave were great. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was delicious, perfect for starting a day of exploring the Sassi.

“Beautiful location”

The location is fantastic with stunning views, and there are small tables and chairs outside where you can sit and enjoy the scenery. The staff were very kind, professional, helpful, and always quick to respond. There are many steps—nothing negative, just something to keep in mind. The breakfast was only average; a few sliced fruits and maybe some hard‑boiled eggs would have been nice, though there were plenty of bread and pastry options.

“Great views and great location!”

The staff were helpful and the location was excellent. We enjoyed the great views from our room and the common patio, sipping Aperol Spritz on the terrace while watching the sunset. The breakfast and the candies were also a hit. The downside was the many stairs to reach our room—a common issue in the old city—and the bed wasn’t very comfortable.

The room was huge with the best view of the Sassi, and I was extremely satisfied with the stay. The shuttle bus service makes traveling by car super convenient. The breakfast was very tasty and highly recommended if you visit Matera.

“Just book here it’s perfect for 2 night stay in Matera”

Everything was great. Our bedroom was amazing, and the bathroom was absolutely stunning with a very deep bath and beautifully appointed fixtures. The position, the friendly people, the very clean accommodation, and the great attention to detail made the stay memorable.
