Cenci Bed & Breakfast Fontana di Trevi

“Excellent location, but misleading photos, poor cleanliness, and a disappointing overall experience.”

The location was excellent, very close to the Trevi Fountain and within walking distance of many major attractions in Rome. Unfortunately, this was the only positive aspect of our stay. When we arrived at the address provided in our reservation, a staff member met us and took us to a different building at another location. Although it was also close to the Trevi Fountain, the room we were given looked nothing like the photos advertised . Our room was right next to a shared kitchen. It was old, poorly maintained, and not properly cleaned. The difference between the advertised photos and the actual room was extremely disappointing, and we felt misled. Additionally, the internet stopped working completely during the last two days of our stay, so we couldn’t use Wi-Fi or watch anything online. Overall, the accommodation did not meet our expectations, especially considering how different it was from what was advertised

The property is very central, 5minutes from The Trevi Fountain and easy access to most areas. The fact it says bed and breakfast, not good, no breakfast, misleading. Was difficult to get in contact with the property before we arrived!!! Emails bounced back every time

“we would go back and stay again!”

The location was great and the rooms were well equipped; Dean, the house manager, was on site and ready to help whenever we needed. I couldn't find anything to dislike—there was no food service, but a deli was just across the street. The place was very quiet and safe. The Cenci sits on a street you can’t drive onto, so the taxi had to drop us about 100 yards away.

The hotel feels like an Airbnb; the host who greeted us was very friendly and gave us plenty of tips on tourist spots. The room was spotless, and everything in the minibar was free to use as a gift. The hotel is only 100 m from the Trevi Fountain, which is about two blocks away.
